2Kinky began as the Saturday night pairing to Manumission's original Friday night incarnation at Equinox in Manchester. Now firmly established at The View, each party draws a diverse crowd for each themed event, complete with high production levels and an eye for the finer details of each theme. DJ's include Rob Tissera, David Dunne, Mark Currie, Paul Taylor, Marc Littlemore, Big Danny and The Slammin' Boys.

The hot ticket at 2Kinky is the after party. It's hush hush and anybody who wants to go needs to see a bloke named Gary. The trouble is that nobody knows what he looks like or where he is, but manage to blag your way in and the old skool and disco is the perfect comedown cure. The residents gabble glorious nonsense at the bar while on the dancefloor the catchphrase "great here, innit" and "has anybody seen Gary?" are all the chat you need to hear.

Nowadays, monthly themed events are ten-a-penny and, frankly most of them consist merely of a couple of drapes and three freaks in body paint. Not so 2Kinky, for this country clubbing experience [so remote they use their own National Heritage signs!] goes the whole hog..... a must!

2Kinky Halloween special @The View, Frodsham, Cheshire.
Playstation were present on the night with their new Wip3out game. The View was linked via outer space to Tall Trees in Cleveland, which was also hosting a 2Kinky night. A combined total of over 8,000 revellers were able to witness live gaming battles between the DJ's and see what was afoot in each venue. With an after-party which rocked until dawn, it really was a kooky, spooky Halloween to remember!

2Kinky- "......turns up the glamour!"
2Kinky, a Manchester institution in the early 90's, once shared the Equinox with Manumission and has had residencies at Sanky's Soap, Generation X and Holy City Zoo. But a series of one-off nights failed to satisfy promoter Gary Marto, so he decided it was time to re-fire the 2Kinky engines and, after some searching he discovered The View. This hotel and leisure complex, in all it's 80's neon glory, unusually host a "get pissed, chat-up-bird/bloke, throw-up" night on Saturdays, so a huge dance event turning up at its doors and decked out in some beautiful decor for a storming event was just what the locals ordered.

On a clear day, if you look off the top of the cliff from The View club in Frodsham, you can see for 40 miles. When Merseyside, the Wirral and the North Wales are lit-up, it looks like a scene from Blade Runner. Anyway, the 2Kinky events are something special, and the after party is about as close as you can get to the Manumission hotel in the country.
